Kaj Ard is a Finnish painter. He works from his studio in Hanko, a seaside town in the south of Finland. Kaj comes from a long history of Art Education in the tertiary sector. He has exhibited extensively throughout Finland and internationally, and he has sold his paintings to many art collectors. He now brings his considerable skills to Barcelona.

 

Kaj creates structures and textures through the process of application and elimination, gradually layering colour, creating depth and translucency in his paintings. His process involves a balance between intuitive mark making and careful deliberation, and his inspiration springs from his own personal journey through life.

 

Kaj is a very professional, approachable and generous facilitator, with a friendly manner who inspires, encourages and provides direction to those undertaking his workshops.
