Yellow colour evokes an optimistic sense of well being, and gives me the feeling that all is ok with the world. It represents sunshine, hope happiness and wisdom.

Spending some time in Drezzo, a little town close to Di Como lake in Italy in 2015, has made me feel like “gold”. I think I became a bit wiser as well, by enjoying and sharing a few days with artist Rebecca Crowell in that part of the world. With her, I have discovered and started to love painting using Cold Wax. This has become the main medium I have utilised since then.

Gold series has been mainly created by using this medium, and memories from Drezzo always come to mind when I look at these paintings.
